Grand Valley Connects offers a centralized system to access and navigate potential services and resources, including mental health. Our goal is to assist community members with identifying eligibility, support the enrollment process, and help navigate barriers that community members may experience. We make the enrollment process easier.
Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people between 10 to 24. Sometimes it feels as though your struggle is being underestimated by your age. But we hear you, and help is available. The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States. Call 1-800-273-8255. 988 has been designated as the new three-digit dialing code that will route callers to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. While some areas may be currently able to connect to the Lifeline by dialing 988, this dialing code will be available to everyone across the United States starting on July 16, 2022. The current Lifeline phone number (1-800-273-8255) will always remain available to people in emotional distress or suicidal crisis, even after 988 is launched nationally.
Safe2Tell empowers young people to keep their community safe. We take reports any time, any day of the year from students or other community members who are concerned about their safety or the safety of others. Safe2Tell provides students, parents, and community members a safe and anonymous way to report information about any issues that concern their safety or the safety of others. Safe2Tell’s reporting process is simple. Call to interact with a live, trained analyst or fill out a form on our website or mobile app.
Teen Line provides support, resources, and hope to young people through a hotline of professionally trained teen counselors, and outreach programs that de-stigmatize and normalize mental health. Call: 310-855-4673. Text:839863.

There are many resources for kids and adults with mental health concerns. Students can also find help at school by talking to a trusted adult, seeing a school counselor, or anonymously reporting a concern to safe2tell.org, which will send the report to school administration, school safety personnel, and law enforcement.
